Curt Kundred, Edelman’s President of the Western Region, will discuss findings from Edelman’s 2012 Trust Barometer Survey that were released by Richard Edelman in Davos.  After a third tumultuous year worldwide, learn what your organization can do to fill the growing trust void in 2012.  

 

Description: Description: cid:image001.jpg@01CC2B44.C5A9ECC0Curt Kundred is an award winning public relations executive having represented or worked for companies in the technology, telecommunications, financial services, energy and healthcare markets.

 

He is currently president of Edelman’s Western Region.  In this role he oversees the company’s traditional and digital communications offerings located throughout the Western United States.  The region boasts more than 500 professionals with offices in Los Angeles, Silicon Valley, San Francisco, Sacramento, Portland and Seattle.  Mr. Kundred plays a key role on several accounts including, Chevron, Charles Schwab and Hewlett Packard. 

 

Previously, Mr. Kundred served in a variety of roles with Fleishman Hillard, most recently as President of the agency’s Eastern, Western and Canadian regions.  In this role he was responsible for hub operations in New York, San Francisco and Toronto.  He was tasked with the build out of the firm’s digital offerings and he led teams to win and service premier brands such as Visa, Oracle and Pacific Bell (AT&T).  During his tenure his teams were consistently recognized through industry awards, including 7 PRSA Silver Anvils and the prestigious Golden Anvil.  Mr. Kundred personally led two of these programs one for his public affairs work with the Electronic Frontier Foundation and another for IPO communications with Internet Capital Group.

 

Prior to Fleishman Hillard Mr. Kundred was an executive vice president with the Weber Group. Situated in Silicon Valley Mr. Kundred led the largest technology office during the fast paced growth of the late 1990s.  He managed more than 250 professionals focused on helping technology firms to navigate complex issues surrounding growth and unbridled market expectations.  Mr. Kundred was also sought out to work with traditional companies such as Cargill and Micron as they were trying to position themselves for success against the markets euphoria with online businesses.

 

Mr. Kundred was also vice chairman of Burson Marstellar’s technology practice.  In this role he was tasked with managing the Sun Microsystems account and played an important role in helping to position the company as being at the heart of the Internet with their, “We’re the dot in dot com” campaign. 

 

Mr. Kundred is a graduate of the University of Northern Colorado and has served as a member of the institution’s Board of Trustees.  He currently resides in Danville, California with his wife and three children.
